Replacement of the existing CSO
Description of Works;
Froglands – Cheddar, an existing CSO required upgrading since the existing 10mm bar screen was insufficient to achieve 6mm screening discharge consent.
The design criteria, was based upon the ability to; retro-fit a screen in order to keep civils cost to a minimum, achieve 6mm screening at a flow rate of 200l/s.
Copa were able to design, supply and install a 4mm mechanical raked bar screen into the existing CSO chamber with out any modifications to the civil structure.
The spill frequency at this location was too high for a static screen.
The overall project cost was £15,000.
